The following description was prepared by William Gross:
It is quite unusual to find an amulet written on cloth. Those that exist seem to indicate an origin in Iran. This is an amulet for the recovery from an illness and for the future good health for the woman, Miriam bat Mor. The text is written in black ink while the name, the outlines of the diagrams and the frame are done in a purple color.
Where the original name appears as a part of the inscription there is an additional name written in purple, apparently as a secondary use by someone other than the original person for whom it was made. The diagrams include a magic table and a Magen David.
