The scroll is housed is a simple carved wooden case.

Summary and Remarks
According to the owner of the manuscript, the decorations in the scroll are directly parallel to those found on the wooden portable mosques from the southern areas of Morocco and place the origin of this scroll to that area. It is the only recorded decorated Esther scroll from that place.
The geometric decoration, both and in style and color, harks back to Andalusian motifs.
