Decoration Program
Summary and Remarks

According to the owner of the manuscript, the decorations in the scroll are directly parallel to those found on the wooden portable mosques from the southern areas of Morocco and place the origin of this scroll to that area. It is the only recorded decorated Esther scroll from that place.

The geometric decoration, both and in style and color, harks back to Andalusian motifs.

History/Provenance
it seems to be that the first two columns (which are not illuminated) were added later
