The wooden torah^case consists of a body and a crown.

The cylindrical body is covered with a green velvet. Silver bands with inscriptions encircle the center and the upper and lower borders of the body. The upper band which function as a coronet, is decorated with grapevine clusters and leaves. It bears a dedicatory inscription that reads: ! תיק זה וס!ת )וםפר תורה( הקדיש עבד מנשה לענ' )לעילוי נשמת( בנו הבחור אברהם בן עבד נפ' )נפטר( ביום שב!ק )שבת קודש( י!ט תמוז התשכ!ט.! !This case and the Torah scroll were dedicated by Abed Menashe for the exaltation of the soul of his son the youth Avraham Ben Abed passed away on the the holy day of Shabbath 29th of Tamuz 5729 (29.7.1969)! The dedicatory inscription on the middle band reads: !תיק זה וס!ת )וספר תורה( הקדיש אותו עבד מנשה לע!נ )לעילוי נשמת( בנו הבחור מנשה בן עבד נפ' )נפטר( ביום שני ז' אדר א' התשכ!ז.! !This case and the Torah scroll were dedicated by Abed Menashe for the exaltation of the soul of his son the youth Menashe Ben Abed passed away on the day of Monday 7th of Adar A' 5727 (7.3.1967).! The inscription on the lower band reads: !בתנאי בכל מקום שירצו בעלי הס!ת )הספר תורה( להוציאו ולהניחו במקום אחר הרשות בידם וביד בנ! )בניהם(! !If the owners of the Torah scroll wish to transfer it to other place, they or their representatives may do so.! ## Between the bands are two frieses of romboid silver plaques. Each plaque is decorated with a vase of flowers against background of geometrical and foliate pattern.

The case is fastened by two silver hook clasps.

The inner face of the case is covered by green velvet.

The onion shaped crown is composed of a main section, a crest and an apex.##The main section is covered with green velvet to which silver plaques, similar to those on the body, and two rods for the Torah Finials, are attached. An undulating crest mounted over the crown, ends in a Magen^David shaped apex. The crest is covered with silver plaques decorated at the bottom with fish scales pattern while the two other parts bearing a foliate and floral pattern. Six chains hang around the centre of the crest carrying bells.## The inner face of the crown is covered by a paper, bearing dedicatory inscriptions. The inscription is written with ink in squer letters. It is arranged around the rim and in horizontal rows. On the right side of the crown it reads: !וזאת התורה אשר שם משה לפני בני ישראל )דברים ד מד(, כי לקח טוב נתתי לכם)משלי ד ב(## כתר## לעילוי נשמת המ')המנוח( הבחור##מנשה בן עבד נפ')נפטר(ביום##שני י!ז אדר א' התשכ!ז## !ולעלוי נשמת המ')המנוח( הבחור##אברהם בן עבד נפ')נפטר(ביום##שבת קדש י!ט תמוז התשכ!ט##תנצב!ה )תהינה נשמותיהם צרורות בצרור החיים(! ! And this is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel (Deut.4:44), For I give you good doctrine (Prov. 4:2).## Crown## For the exaltation of the late, the youth Menashe Ben Abed passed away on the day of monday, 17 of Adar A' 5727 (17.3.1967). And for the exaltation of the late the youth Avraham Ben Abed passed away on the holy day of Shabath 19 of Tamuz 5729 (19.7. 1969) May their souls be bound up in the bond of life.! The inscription on the left side reads: !תורה צוה לנו משה מורשה קהלת יעקב)דברים לג ד( תורת ה' תמימה מחכימת פתי )תהלים יט ח(## תורה##תיק זה וספר תורה ##שבו אותם עבד מנשה ##הי!ו - אלה העדות והחקים## והמשפטים אשר דבר##משה אל בני ישראל בצאתם ##ממצרים )דברים ד מה(! !Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob. (Deut. 33:4) The law of the Lord is perfect making wise the simple.(Ps. 19:7) ## Torah## This case and the Torah scroll inside were (dedicated by) Abed Menashe may the Lord sustain him and grant him favour. These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judjment, which Moses spoke unto the children of Israel, after they came forth out of Egypt.(Deut. 4:45)!
