Who is Commemorated?
The Jews of Przytyk, Poland, who perished in the Holocaust, as well as those involved in the self-defense and resistance during the 1936 pogrom.
Description:
The monument is located in the Southeastern Alley of the cemetery, along with dozens of other Holocaust memorials built by Landsmannschaft organizations, survivors, and relatives.
It consists of a large black granite slab, framed by light-colored stone and featuring a horizontal black stripe across its center. The slab stands on a light-colored stone base, upon which lies a small flat stone slab. To the left of the monument, there is a rectangular stone frame, which likely once belonged to a small stone structure. On the base, from the left, there is a moveable tile. The monument bears Hebrew inscriptions honoring the community’s memory. The community name is emphasized through the use of a larger font size.
