As can be seen in the original photograph of the monument, available on the Ghetto Fighters' House Archive website, an additional part featuring a six-branched menorah once stood at the top of the slab, symbolizing the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust. Today, this part is hidden because of the trees behind the monument.
