The Jews of Ratne, Poland (today Ukarine), who perished in the Holocaust.
Description:
The monument is located in the Southeastern Alley of the cemetery, along with dozens of other Holocaust memorials built by Landsmannschaft organizations, survivors, and relatives.
The monument is a stone slab set on a stone base. The base has a black plaque affixed to its top; the plaque was probably added later as it is not seen in the photograph published in 1983 [Tamir, 1983, p. 199]. The monument is surrounded by four low stone pillars connected by a metal chain (also not seen in Tamir, ibid.].
The monument bears Hebrew inscriptions honoring the community's memory. The community name is emphasized through the use of a larger font size.

Translation: In memory of the martyrs of the Ratne community and its surroundings / Memorial Day / 13 Elul 5702 [1942].
On the base, in Hebrew:
והעלתי אתכם מקברותיכם עמי
והבאתי אתכם אל אדמת ישראל
יחזקאל
Translation: And I will bring you up out of your graves, my people, / and I will bring you to the land of Israel / Ezekiel.

The memorialization of Ratne Jews in Israel started in the 1950s, with the installment of the memorial plaque in the Chamber of Holocaust, later the Association of Jews joined the initiative of Keren Ha-Kayemet (JNF) and planted 1,000 trees in the Forest of the Martyrs (Yar Ha-Kedoshim) in memory of Jews from Ratne. For several years, this was a place for the survivors and relatives to gather on the day of the Israel’s Day of Remembrance of the Holocaust and Heroism. In 1980, the Association built the monument in the Jewish Cemetery in Southern Tel Aviv (Holon). [Tamir, 1983, p. 294]
