Who is Commemorated?
The Jews of Šurany, Hungary (today Slovakia), who perished in the Holocaust.
Description:
The monument is located in the Southeastern Alley of the cemetery, along with dozens of other Holocaust memorials built by Landsmannschaft organizations, survivors, and relatives.
The monument is a stone wall with a protruding stone slab. The slab features an image of the community's synagogue, and on its upper part, four metal Stars of David are mounted on small pillars. On the wall, on both sides of the slab, there are metal plaques with the names. At the base of the monument, on both sides, there are niches for memorial candles. The entire structure stands on a wide platform.
The monument bears Hebrew inscriptions honoring the community's memory. The community name is emphasized through the use of a larger font size.

On the plaque from the left, in Hebrew:
קורבנות השואה שלא נותר שריד ממשפחתם הי"ד
Translation: Holocaust victims who left no surviving family may God avenge their blood. [followed a list of victims]
