History/Provenance

In the photograph from the Ghetto Fighters' Archive (made in the 1990s (?)), one can see an additional small black plaque affixed to the base. Probably, the plaque indicated that the memorial contained a scroll with the names of perished Jews or ashes from camps/cemeteries.
