Jewish printed books Baruch ha-Ba be-Boakha....., Israel/Eretz Israel, circa 1955
The following description was prepared by William Gross:
The festival of Succah is a joyous one where the booth in which it is celebrated is often decorated by the whole family who will be using this. In addition to the decorations made at home, there has been a tradition of at least two hundred and fifty years of preparing decorative plaques for the walls. Since the 18th century, these have been made by both hand and printing. As the modern era opened most of them are now printed. This example was done in Israel in the 1950s with portraits of Rabbis. It was a gift, given as "shai" by the political party "The National Religious Front" a combination of Mizrachi and Hapoel Hamizrachi. A mix of religion and politics.
