Who is Commemorated?
The Jews of Telechany, Poland (today Tsyelyakhany or Telekhany, Belarus), who perished in the Holocaust.
Description:
The monument is located in the Western Alley of the cemetery, along with dozens of other Holocaust memorials built by Landsmannschaft organizations, survivors, and relatives.
The monument is a black marble slab with dedicatory inscriptions in Hebrew and Yiddish set on the white stepped base. The top edge of the tombstone is slanted and curved. Next to the slab is a smaller stone structure containing the names of the victims. On the back of the monument, there is an engraving in Hebrew and Latin letters.
