Who is Commemorated?

Jewish victims from in Ozaryntsi killed in the Holocaust

Description

This memorial, located among the headstones in the Jewish Cemetery, takes the form of a concrete trapezoidal stele with rounded edges on a concrete base. Carved into the front of the memorial are five arches, representing headstones, with names of Holocaust Victims inside of them in Hebrew script.

Above the arches, a smaller trapezoid is impressed into the monument's apex with the letters פ and נ flanking a Magen David and a short Hebrew inscription. On either side of this impression are the last names of victims added later in a Cyrillic script.

A rectangular plaque of some dark material is on the base of the memorial, aligned with the center arch or headstone.
