© Center for Jewish Art, Photographer: Radovan, Zev, 1986

The tower-like rimon is made of silver and consists of a shaft,a body and an apex.

The shaft is cylindrical and is mounted over a round raised base. The shaft bears an inscription. The body has an hexagonal,tower-like shape and has two tiers. The main section is mounted over a bowled shape body base with a hexagonal rim and is surmounted by an hyperboloid collar and a cap. The body base is decorated with a row of petals.

Each facet of the body is made of openwork and bears two of the following objects one upon the other: a grape cluster with ivy leaves, a hand pouring oil into a bowl, a vase with flowers, the priestly garment, the priestly benediction, the altar with flames, the priestly crown, a five branched Menorah, the Tablets of the Law and a hanging lamp.

The objects of the lower tier are set within an arched frame and the ones of the upper tier are set within a floral one.

The cap is decorated with an over turned row of flowers. The apex is mounted over the cap. One of them is acorn like and the other looks like a flame.

The inscription is engraved on the shaft in linear characters and it reads vertically towards the body: Comunita` Israelitica / Genova 5714 =(1954) = "Jewish community Genoa 5714=(1954)"
