Description

The monument is located at the mass grave in the Jewish cemetery in Busk. It is a rectangular gravestone which set atop the base. The gravestone features Hebrew and Ukrainian inscriptions, a Ukrainian coat of arms, and a Magen David. The Ukrainian inscription mentions one of the donors, while another donor is referenced in the Ukrainian inscription carved on the base of the monument.

In May 1943, the Nazis murdered approximately 1,200 Jews in the Jewish cemetery in Busk [Tsal Kaplun Foundation].

The monument in the cemetery was erected in 2004. After that, Yahad-In Unum investigated the territory and discovered 14 mass graves between the Jewish cemetery and the river. They also exhumed the graves [Yahad-In Unum].
