Jewish Funerary Art Jewish cemetery in Khrystynivka, Ukraine
According to ESJF European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative, the exact period of the cemetery’s establishment is unknown. Given the oldest preserved gravestone is dated to the mid 20th century it can be inferred the cemetery was founded in that era. The cemetery could not be found marked on old maps of the region. There are about 40 tombstones. Some of the gravestones are toppled or broken.
Date of the oldest tombstone: 1953
Date of the latest tombstone: 1978
The cemetery can be found in the southern side of the village. Starting at the Christian cemetery, follow Kosmonavtyky Street for 350 metres then turn left onto the dirt road (there is a chance it may be blocked). Follow the road for 700 metres, at which point the cemetery can be found in the wooded area to the left.
