Compendium Orationum: Seder Haggadah Shel Pesach kefi Minhag Sefaradim, Verona, 1828

© Gross Family Collection, Photographer: Unknown,

This text was prepared by William Gross:

In line with the regular beautiful printing from the 1820's in Verona, this Haggadah is the first copy to appear in the Gross Family Collection. But, as opposed to the second copy, B.2314, this volume is in the way of the Sefaradim rather than the Ashkenazim as in the second copy.  Both carry the very fine etching of the blessing of the lights on the page opposite the title page. The number of pages differs between them as well as the image above the name of the city on the title. In this case it is a picture of an angel playing the pipes.
