  Synagogue in Krośniewice, Poland

© Virtual Shtetl, Photographer: Wygocki, Marcin, 2011

The synagogue in Krośniewice was erected in the first half of the 19th century. During WWII the Germans destroyed it. After the war, the building served as a cinema. Afterwards it remained abandoned and deteriorated. In 2004 the town authorities sold the building to a private owner and upon remodeling the interior it now serves as a funeral home.
