  Sacred and Ritual Torah finials, North Africa, 1st half of the 20th century (?)
The tower like silver rimon consists of a shaft, a body, a head, and an apex.
The cylindrical, tapering shaft has a ring at its bottom. The shaft bears a dedicatory inscription. The hexagonal body has the shape of three diminishing faceted tiers. It is mounted over a bowled body base. Bells hang from the lower floor. Each facet of the first floor is decorated with an openwork lower surrounded by a foliate pattern. The second and third floors are decorated with foliate patterns. Each facet is framed by two columns. Those are surmounted by acanthus leaves.
The body is surmounted by a domical cap.
A bud-shaped apex is on its top. The dedicatory inscription is engraved. The first two lines are in linear letters, the third one is in outline letters, and reads:
נדבה ע!ה )עבד ה'( סלימאן בן ## יצחק עטייא הי!ו )ה' ישמרהו ויחיהו(## קדש לי!י
