The white cotton Torah^Binder is a long narrow cloth composed of three pieces. The cloth bears an inscription and illustrations painted in mustard yellow, sky blue, blue, beige, black, brown, and green. The inscription is painted in square filled outlined letters. Each word is painted in a different color. The top or bottom of each letter lamed is decorated with such motifs as a flower, a flag, a branch upon which is perched a bird, a hook, or an ornamental base. The inscription reads: !אהרון בר)בן רבי( משה הכהן נולד במז!ט)במזל טוב( יום כ'ו טבת תרסח לפ!ק השם יגדלהו לתורה ולחופה ולמעשים טובים אמן סלה.! !Aaron son of Rabbi Moses the Cohen, born with good fortune the twenty-sixth of Tevet, (5)668 (December 31, 1907) may God raise him to the Torah and to the Hupah, and to good deeds. Amen, selah.! Above the word !the Cohen! are depicted the hands of the priestly benediction. Spread above the words !in good luck, the twenty-sixth! is a leaf-bearing branch. Above the word !to the Torah,! is depicted an open Torah scroll, upon which is inscribed: !תורה משה אמת.! !The Torah of Moses is true.! Above the Torah scroll, on either side, are written the first five words of Prov. 3:18. Above the word !God! is placed an abstract geometric motif. Surmounting the words !to the Hupah! is a depiction of a Hupah. Within the Hupah is written Jer.7:34, and the words, !מזל טוב! !Good Fortune!
