© Center for Jewish Art, Photographer: Khaimovich, Boris, 1994

The flat ceiling of the Kupa Synagogue is decorated with intricate geometrical frames enclosing images of holy places in Israel and also the musical instruments of Psalm 150:3-6. The musical instruments appear in each of the four corners of the ceiling, framed by geometric patterns and highlighted by a bright blue background.
