The tas is made of silver and consists of a plate, and a suspension chain.## The plate is in the shape of a cartouche and has a folded rim. The borders are decorated with rocailles and foliate pattern. The plate is decorated by two rampant lions looking forwards. They support the five and five Tablets of the Covenant inscribed with the first words of the Decalogue. Above them is a crown.Rings are attached to the borders of the crown. The calendar tablet is rectangular and is set in a frame in the lower part of the plate. Bellow the calender tablet is a medaillion framed by foliate pattern, and bearing a dedicatory inscription. The plate is hung by a chain which consists of globular links and are attached to the hanger on the back plate. The dedicatory inscription is engraved in filled letters, and reads: לזכרון שם האשה## מרת ריזל שפאטץ ## ע"ה )עליה השלום(## נדבו בעלה בניה##ובתה וחתנה## שנת ת'ר'מ'ג' לפ"ק "To the memory, the named woman## madam Reisel Shfatz## May she rest in Eden(int.)## donated by her husband, her sons## and her daughter and her son in law## the year (5)634 1883."
