The rimon is made of silver and consists of a shaft,a body and an apex.
The shaft is cylindrical and has a straight-cut bottom encircled by a rim. The shaft is decorated with a spiral motif of scrolls and three medallions. Three chains carrying bells hang from voluted hooks soldered to those medallions. The top of the shaft is surmounted by a bowled shape capital decorated with conches. The main section of the body is globular and is mounted over a ring bearing an inscription. The lower rim of the body projects outwards and is decorated with palmettes. The main section is surmounted by a cylindrical collar and by a dome cap. The body is alternatively decorated with palmettes and leaves. Upon each leaf one of the following Tabernacles^Implemen s is depicted : the Tablets^of^the^Covenant, The Priestly^dress and the Priestly^Head^Gear. The whole is depicted upon a background of dotted lozenges. The collar bears an openwork decoration of columns alternate either with a parapet or with one of the following Implements: the Eternal^Lamp, a hand^pouring^a^jug and the Menorah. The cap is composed of eight arched foliated arms. The acorn apex is mounted over the cap. The inscription is engraved on the body base in linear characters and reads:
קדש לה [להשם] מתן לק"ק [קהלה קדושה] ספרדים מאת שלמו חי בכר דוד חי הלוי ש' [שנת] תרי"ב
"Dedicated to the Lord a gift to the Sephardic Holy Congregation from Solomon Hai first born son of David Hai Halevi the year (5)612(1852)"
