The Torah ark is a single built niche enclosed within a horse-shoe arch, set at the centre of the eastern wall of the synagogue.

The horse-shoe arch is supported by two rectangular pilasters and blocked by a wooden board with a double-winged door at its centre. A stepped, rectangular and white frame surrounds all.

The door is divided into six panels arranged in two registers and is flanked by four blank and lattice-like boards separated by narrow grilled strips. Three additional smaller doors are located below the central one and serve as a genizah.

The ark is adorned by a lattice-like tympanum and topped by a small round flower. The entire façade is painted pink, white and blue.

The inner space is a deep rectangular area adjusted to the niche. A stepped shelf for placing the Torah scrolls is set in the middle. The eastern, northern and southern walls bear blind arches.

A rectangular inscribed plaque is set in the centre of the arch, citing a verse from Psalms: “I have set the Lord always before me” (Ps. 16:8).

"שיויתי/ יהוה/ לנגדי תמיד" (תהילים טז:ח).

Three additional rectangular plaques inscribed with prayers, are hung on both sides of the ark, one on the right and two on the left.

A bench is built beneath the Torah ark, as part of the sitting arrangement.
