Most of the synagogue floor, from the north-western entrance to the south-western end, is decorated with mosaics in the nave, the eastern aisles and the intercolumnar spaces. Fragments of geometric panels can be found near and between the columns which divide the nave from the western aisle. The mosaic in the nave is divided into three panels: 1. The northern panel containing a dedicatory Greek inscription flanked by two lions (7816). 2. The central panel depicting the zodiac wheel. In it Helios is surrounded by the twelve zodiac signs. Each spandrel of this panel contains a representation of one of the seasons (7991). 3. The southern panel depicting the sanctuary implements (7846). All panels are designed to be viewed from the entrance except for the zodiac signs and the seasons facing Helios in the center. The zodiac panel and the panel which consists of an inscription are framed together by a double parallel line. The sanctuary implements panel is framed by a separate double parallel line. The nave and the eastern intercolumnar panels are surrounded by a white background, adorned with flowers and rhombus designs. Two of these geometric panels include inscriptions in Greek and Aramaic.
