Remainder Calendar (לוח יתרונות); a couple in garden; fishing boat; decorated calendar:

The Remainder Calendar entitled הא לך יתרונות חמה על לבנה (fig. 1), specifies the time lapse (Yitronot) between the solar and lunar cycles. The calendar covers four consecutive pages (MS I:8-9v) and is illustrated with two outdoor activites (figs. 1, 1a and 2, 2a).

The two-part table of the calendar is made up of continuous interlaced bands in alternating colours.

A dragon's head and a trefoil tail protrude from the corners of the tables (e.g. fig. 1b).

the rectangular panel below the calendar (figs. 1, 1a) encloses a yellow ochre trapezoid room or courtyard, with a window or a door in the centre. At the front of the courtyard stand a man on the right and a woman on the left, each holding the end of a blue band from which dangle five lotus flowers. Birds are flying behind the figures. The man is bearded and wears green knee breeches, a red hip-length coat buttoned down the front, and a red pointed Jewish hat over long hair. The woman is wearing a red bodice and green skirt with a yellow apron and a red and yellow headdress. She is holding a flower-pot in her left hand and a red kerchief in her right (cf. the woman on fol. I:14v).
