The ship is placed on the outer wall of the arcosolium. It is depicted in profile, sailing from the left to the right. The keel is represented by a single curved line, drawn from prow to stern. On the deck, indicated by two parallel lines, there is a cabin or a tent with a flat roof. The roof and beams are indicated by strips of criss-cross pattern; similar strips decorate the hull of the ship. There are two small protuberances to the right of the cabin. Palm branches can be seen at the extremities of both the prow and the stern.
