In the central foreground there is represented a man in a synagogue. He is a Jew with a small beard, glowing wide-open eyes, black curling ear-locks and tousled hair. The Jew wears trousers, a shirt, shoes, a rimmed hat and tallit katan under a torn frock-coat. His right hand is raised while his left hand is by the mouth. He runs advancing his left foot. In the background behind the Jew's back there are the Ark of the Law, two windows on the different walls and benches disposed in two rows.
