Fol. 135: Text page for Selihot of Shaharit for the Day of Atonement including a text illustration executed in red and brown ink, set in the lower part of the outer margin, adjacent to the piyyut “Please be willing” (אנא הואל) of which the first two verses read: “Please be willing to forgive your servants, who approach you with a bowed head” (אנא הואל סלוח לעבדיך/ בכפיפת ראש באי עדיך). The illustration depicts a man bowing down towards the left, his hands stretched out before him holding a partially cut off tablet or book, on which are visible the words אנ[א] רא[ש] (please, head). The man is bearded with minimal facial details. His head and body are partially covered by a talllit (prayer shawl) with tassels, underneath which a red mid-length garment is visible. Both of the man’s bare feet face the left and each one has a small round circle on the ankle.
