Illustrating the text is a panel depicting an open cityscape. A foreground, middle ground and background, depict each a different segment of the story. In the foreground on the right hand side of the panel, Moses and Aaron, both bearded, stand before Pharaoh who is seated on the right on a three stepped throne, next to Pharaoh stand three wise men and behind them are two more men and a soldier. Moses depicted with horns, holds the rod in his right hand, behind him stands Aaron in pristly clothing. Moses’ left arm and Paroh’s right arm are raised to show that they are in the middle of conversation. In the middle ground, on the left hand side of the panel, the continuation of the story is depicted. Paraph is seated on the left and gestures with his left hand towords Moses and Aaron who stand before him, Moses’ right gestures toword Paraoh and in his left he holds a snake. To Paraoh’s right are two wise men with snakes in their hands. In the background a man is seen beating another man with a bat in his hands. An inscription is written bellow in Yiddish in semi cursive Ashkenazic script. Exodus 7:1, 7-12
