A rectangular panel beneath the text encloses a scene of the Messiah's approach towards Jerusalem. A domed octagonal building representing the Temple, stands at the center of the city, which is enclosed by crenellated walls with gates and towers. The Messiah enters on the left riding an ass following Elijah who walks blowing a shofar. A Hebrew inscription identifying the city is written by Elijah's feet. Groups of people emerge from different directions from the surrounding hills, converging towards the walled city. A personified moon and sun can be seen in the sky above.
