Sacred and Ritual Objects Torah finials, Yazd, 20 century
The silver rimon consists of a shaft and a body. The tapering, cylindrical shaft is surmounted by a conical capital. The shaft bears an inscription engraved in linear letters. All the letters aleph are in Rashi script. The inscription reads from the capital towards the bottom:
!ארור הגונב ארור המוכר והקונה!
!Cursed be the thief, cursed by the seller and the buyer! The flat Star of David shaped body, is decorated with a bond bearing a stamped floral pattern. The other face bears different inscriptions engraved in linear letters:
!כי מציון תצא תורה ודבר ## ה' מירושלים! ## !ברוך המקום שנתן תורה ## לעמו ישראל ב'ה' ## !תורה צווה לנו משה מורשה ## קהלת יעקב! !

The dedicatory inscription reads: !קודש לה' ## לנשמת משה בן אליעזר ואשתו רחל בת מואור )מורד( ובניו הבחורים יחזקאל וניסן ת'נ'צ'ה! !Dedicated to the Lord ##for the soul of Moses son of Eliezer and his wife Rachel daughter of Mo'or (Morad) and his sons the youths Ezechiel and Nisan, may their souls be bound up (in the bond) of life (int)!.
