The wooden Torah^case consists of a body and a crown.##The body is faceted. Each of the eight facets is decorated by two vertical slots. The case is closed by a pair of silver clasps. A ring is inserted to each one.## A pair of metal hinges are in the back of the case. The inner face is plain wood covered with cotton textile, decorated with a floral pattern.## Two insert hols, for the rods are at the top of the case. An onion shaped crown is composed of a main section and a crest.The main section is faceted according to the body.A broken crest is undulating, covered by a silver plat attached by nails. Two wooden rimon mounts are fixed on the crown.## A dedicatory ploques made of paper in the shape of the crown are attached to the inner face. The ploques are covered by glass and decorated with floral pattern bands according to the crown's shape.They bear dedicatory inscriptions. The inscription starts in an arched line and continues on seven horizontal lines,in an arched form.## It is written in black ink squer letters, and reads: !וזאת התורה אשר שם משה לפני בני ## ישראל ## אלה העדת והחקים והמשפטים והתורות! Deut. 4:44-45 !תיק זה ## וספר תורה ## שבו הקדישו אותם ## השמות היקרים יהושע ## ואברהם לבהכנ' למנוחת ## אמם האשה הכשרה הצדקת ## יוכבד בת כאתון תנצב!ה ! ! This Torah^case ## and the scroll ## in it were dedicated by ## the precious names Joshua ## and Abraham to the synaguague for the repose of ## thier mother the woman the conscientious the righteous ## Yokheved daghter of Khatun May her soul be bound up in the bond of life! !זכרו תורת משה עבדי אשר צויתי אותו ## בחורב ## על כל ישראל חקים ומשפטים לק!י! Mal 3:22 followed by Gen 49:18 (initials) ! שנפטרת ## לב!ע יום ששי ## בש!ק ששה לחוד' ## טבת שנת ומלא ## ידינו מ'ב'ר'כ'ו'ת'י'ו ## לפ!ק גדלו לה' אתי ## ונרוממה שמו יחדיו ! !
