  Passover plate, Germany, 1825?

The pewter Seder plate is round, with a raised rim. The central decoration is divided to two parts. The upper narrower part depicts a Seder table while the lower part depicts the Passover signs. The external rim is inscribed with an inscription. Anti-clockwise in square fieled letters it is read:

"Keep the passover unto the Lord, and thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, Thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the day of thy life (The inscription is based on verses from Deut. 16:1,3,14)"

Between the versses are the names of the owners of the plate: "Rephael Sarahle"

On the back side of the plate is an inscription inscribed in square linear letters and read:
