The violet parokhet is made of silk velvet. The parokhet is rectangular. A dedicatory inscription in a foliage wreath depicts the center of parokhet. A Torah^crown~ appears above the dedicatory inscription with the inscription, reads: כתר % תורה "Crown of Torah" The parokhet is framed by a ribbon. The dedicatory inscription is embroidered in outline letters and reads: ז"נ )זאת נידב( הקצין והנכבד##כ'ה ליבל שווארץ##ע'ז )עם זוגתו( הנכבדת חיילה תי' )תחיה(##הדר בעיר פעסט##לכבוד בית הכנסת ולכבוד אבותיו##כ"ה פרץ ע'ז פראדל שווארץ ##זכרונם לברכה##לחיי העולם הבא##בשנת ת'ר'ל'ו' לפ"ק "This was donated(int.) by the eminent and the respected## the honourable Rabbi (int.) Liebel Shwartz##with his respected wife (int.) Hayah'le, may she live (int.)##who livnes in the city of Pest in the honour of the synagogue and the honour of his fathers##the honourable Rabbi Perez with his wife Fradle Shwartz##of blessed memory##for eternal life in the world to come##in the year (5)636=(1876)"
