Sacred and Ritual Objects Torah shield in a memory of the "son, who died a martyr death", 1949
The tas is made of silver, and consists of a plate and a chain.
The plate is in the shape of a cartouche. It is decorated with two rampant lions looking backwards. They support the five and five Tables of the Covenant inscribed with the roman numbers from one to ten. Above the lions are two branches and above the Tables of the Covenant is a protuded crown. The frame for the calendar tablet is rectangular and set in the lower section. It bears a dedicatory inscription. The plate's background is punched. The plate is framed by scrolls and foliate pattern.
The plate is hung by a chain which is inserted into rings which are attached to the back of the plate. The dedicatory inscription is engraved in outline letters, and reads:
"WEISZ REZSO es neje BLITZ BERTA / adomanya boldogult szuleik es martirhalalt halt LASZLO fiuk emlekere / 1949 szepti"
"Rezso Weisz and his wife Berta Blitz ## gave this in the memory of their son who died a martyr death, 1949"
