The velvet parokhet is rectangrlar and black.
A big star depicts the center of parokhet and is surrounded and filled by floral motif. A wide frame bearing a decoration of bouquets of flowers encircles three borders of the cloth. The embroidery is in the colours of: orange, yellow, ivory, violet, pink and light blue.
A dedicatory inscription is embroidered on upper border, in filled outline letters and reads: זה פרוכת קודש ל'נ )לנשמת( יצחק בן דוד נ'ו'מ )נחלה ומנוחה( ש' תרפב !This parokhet was dedicated to the soul (int.) of Issac son of David, who reached a state of rest and security (int.), the year (int.) (5)682 (1922)!
The curtain most probably belonged to the community of Mullah Samuel Synagogue in Herat.
