© Center for Jewish Art, Photographer: Radovan, Zev, 1992

The dark red velvet Parokhet is rectangular. A main central section is flanked from both sides and from below by bands. The central section is decorated with an applicated satin in the shape of the Tables of the Covenant with the beginning of the ten commandments. The tables are framed by foliate scrolls and surmounted by sequins and an arch of flowers. On their right, it is embroidered in square-filled letters:

!Crown!.

It continues on their left side and reads:

!Torah!

A dedicatory inscription is embroidered above and below the Tables. Starts above in an arched-shape and continues below in eight horizontal lines, from right to left it reads:

Below the inscription, in the central lower part of the main section, is a seven-branched Menorah which is flanked by a wreath of leaves and flowers in each corner. Two smaller wreathes frame the decoration and the inscriptions above. The borders of the Parokhet are embroidered with three lines of S-chain pattern. The middle line is shorter to make spaces for two square corners which are decorated with a Star^of^David in their center.## Bluish fringes are attached to the lower border of the parokhet.
