The silver Torah shield is rectangular and terminates with a semi circular arch. It consists of a plate. A rectangular plaque in the center terminates with a semicircular arch. It bears the Tablets of the Law surmounted by a crown and inscribed with the opening words of the Ten Commandments. A repeating foliate motif frames the plaque. Below the plaque is a cartouche bearing a dedicatory inscription, the square filled letters read: "זה הציץ נ' (נדבה) החבורה של זבחי צדק בש' (בשנת) תקך"ד לפ'ק (לפרט קטן "This shield was donated by the Righteous Sacrificers Society (Havurah Zovhei Tzedek (society of butchers) in the year 1764." Two vine enscrolled square based pillars flank the composition. An inwards facing stork decorates the base. A rampant lion (?) tops the pillar. A palmette is located in the center of the arch and is framed by a foliate scroll. The frame is a band of geometric design and the edges are scalloped.
