The silver Torah shield is rectangular and terminates with a semi circular arch.

A shield is depicted at its center bearing an inscription written in square linear letters, and reads:

זה הטס / שייך להרר [הרב רבי] / ר' [רבי] שמעון / בהרר [בן הרב רבי] / צבי זצל".

"This Torah^shield belongs to the Great Rabbi rabbi Shimon son of the rabbi Zvi the righteous of blessed memory".

It is surrounded by a design of foliate scrolls and flanked by a bird and a lion (?).

The shield is surmounted by a conch and flowers. The lower part depicts a couchant rabbit and a deer. The margins are decorated with a row of four petaled flowers.
