Name of Monument

Etz Chaim Synagogue Yahrzeit Holocaust Memorial Plaque

What/Who is commemorated

Six million martyrs of the Holocaust

 Description

This is a small rectangular memorial plaque is attached to a wooden mount next to one of the synagogue’s large bronze Yahrzeit plaques, to the right of the Aron ha-Kodesh.  The plaque is flanked by six small lightbulbs- three on each side.  These presumably symbolize the Six Million Holocaust victims. It appears that these lights remain lit all the time, not just on any specific Yahrzeit (anniversary of a death).
