History/Provenance

According to the site of the city, "In 1947, members of the Jewish community, who survived the Holocaust, petitioned the city to restore the cemetery, which had been destroyed by bombing. Before the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Fascism on September 12, 1948, the city council resolved to restore the cemetery and install a memorial plaque at the synagogue on Große Münzenstraße."
