Holocaust Victims of Zhovkva ghetto, who were murdered here

Description

The monument is located at the site of the killings. It consists of two upright slabs, with the lower slab partly obscuring the taller one. A black stone plaque with an image of two hands, along with Yiddish and Ukrainian inscriptions, is affixed to the first slab. The second slab features a small plaque at the top, displaying a Magen David.

During the liquidation of the Zhovkva Ghetto, some of the Jews were sent to the Yanivskyi forced labor camp. All the rest Zhovkva ghetto were murdered on March 25, 1943 in Bir Forest [Tsal Kaplun Foundation].
