The Jews of Rachów–Annopol, Lublin District, Poland, who perished in the Holocaust.
Description:
The monument is located in the Southeastern Alley of the cemetery, among many other Holocaust memorials erected by Landsmannschaft organizations, survivors, and relatives.
It consists of a wide stone slab with a granite front, engraved with two candleholders bearing lit flames. The slab stands on a light stone base with a small flat stone plaque containing a dark granite insert.
The monument is surrounded by four short stone pillars connected by a metal chain. The monument bears Hebrew inscriptions honoring the community’s memory. The community name is emphasized through the use of a larger font size. One of the inscriptions indicates that the monument contains the ashes of the Jews who perished in the Holocaust.
