Erinnerung ist eine Form der Begegnung. Khalil Gibran. In Erinnerung an die Menschen aus Neusiedl am See, die in der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus verschleppt und ermordet wurden: Juden, Roma und Personen mit geistigen und körperlichen Beeinträchtigungen. Es waren Menschen jeden Alters, mit Zielen, Hoffnungen und Träumen. Mit Neusiedl am See verbunden durch Verwandtschaft, Freundschaft und Nachbarschaft. Die hier angeführten Namen stehen für viel weitere heimische Opfer des Holocausts. Für das Schicksal dieser Ermordeten sind auch Personen aus unserer Stadt mitverantwortlich gewesen. Mit unserem Gedenken wollen wir diesen Opfern Achtung, Würde und Respekt zurückgeben. Juni 2021
