Sacred and Ritual Objects Torah mantle donated by the Jewish Women Society, 1920
The Torah mantle is made of white velvet.
The rectangular cloth cloak is made of two parts and is attached at the upper border, leaving two openings for Torah Scroll rods. It opens in its lower part on both sides.
The cloth bears a dedicatory inscription and an emroidery decoration of flowers and a Torah crown supported by two lions.
The dedicatory inscription is embroidered in outline letters and reads:

אשר נדבו נשי חיל
לכבוד התורה
ת'ר'ף
"A Torah Crown (int.)
which was donated by virtuous
women
in the honor of the Torah

The back of the cloth is decorated by flowers and bears an inscription which is embroidered in outline letters and reads:##VI ker. zsido ##noegyleti tagoko##adomanya. "It was donated by the Jewish Women Society"
