Description

A rectangular bronze plaque is installed on the perimeter wall of a field of monuments outside the entrance to the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp. This space was part of the landscaped grounds of the Commandant’s house. Now this area is filled with free-standing monuments and wall plaques installed by individuals and organizations commemorating victims of the Camp.

KZ Sachsenhausen et ont été assassinés
ici en février 1945. 

Nous ne les oublions pas

German:

Am 27. November 1944 wurden
16 jugendliche, aus Frankreich deportierte
Juden, von Auschwitz-Birkenau in das
KZ Sachsenhausen transportiert und hier
Im Februar 1945 ermordet. 

Wir vergessen sie nicht.

Translation: On November 27, 1944, 16 young Jewish deportees from France were transferred from Auschwitz-Birkenau to the KZ Sachsenhausen and were murdered here in February 1945. / We do not forget them

The monument was installed in 2015 to commemorate the lives of 16 young Jewish deportees from France who were transferred to Sachsenhausen from Auschwitz-Birkenau and were subsequently murdered here in February 1945. The plaque was presented by the FFDJF organization, representing the sons and daughters of Jewish deportees from France.
