The rectangular silver book^binding consists an upper cover, a lower cover, a spine and two clasps. The green velvet covers bear a central oval medallion surrounded by a thick frame and bear a family emblem. The emblem of the upper cover depicts a cartouche filled with a rampant lion surmounted by a crescent and holding an harrow. The emblem of the lower cover consists of three lilies. Four corners plaques with a foliate decoration are attached to the corners of the binding. Two half-round plaques with a weavy edge are attached to the borders of the clasps.## The binding is closed by two foliate clasps .
