  Hanging oil lamp, Trieste, 1825-1866

The silver hanging^lamp consists of a body and a hanger.##The main section of the body is cylindrical and is mounted over a concave undulating bottom. A globular apex is attached to it. An undulating globular neck is mounted over the main section.##The centre of the main section is decorated with floral units. The bottom of the neck is decorated with a branch of acanthus leaves. The ccntre of the neck bears a projecting grooved band surmounted by a projecting row of overlapping leaves. The same row of overlapping leaves decorates the centre of the bottom. The lamp is hanging by three chains from a dome canopy and inserted through geometric handles.##The canopy is decorated with a row of leaves. A ring is attached to the top of the canopy.
