The coronet is made of silver and consists of a base and a wreath.
The base is round and it has two friezes: The lower one is alternatively decorated with volutes and cartouches and the upper one bears a dedicatory inscription. The wreath is round and it is decorated with cartouches flanked by volutes and with a stylized foliate pattern. The upper rim is surrounded by a dotted row. Globular bells are attached with foliate links to this row. An arched band filled with volutes and topped by globes is attached to the upper edge.
The dedicatory inscription is engraved in full letters and reads:
לכבוד המקום ולכבוד התורה, זה נדבו קרוביהם יורשיהם וכמ"ר [כבוד מורנו רבי] רפאל חפץ בר [בן רבי] שמעון ואחיו ז"ל [זכרונו לברכה] כמ"ר משה חפץ בר שמעון תזק"ע ז"ל לזכר
"In the honour of the Lord and in the honour of the Torah, this was donated by his relatives and their heirs and our honourable teacher R. Raphael Hefez son of R. Simon and his brothers of blessed memory, our honourable teacher R. Moses Hefez son of R. Simon, (5)577=(1818), of blessed memory, in memory."
