According to ESJF European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative, the Jewish section of Lokhvytsia was established presumably in 1968, after the Old Jewish cemetery was closed. It is operational today. A 1.5 metre tall concrete fence runs along the front side of the cemetery. A fence also separates the east side from the adjacent land. There is no internal fencing to demarcate the sections. There are 48 gravestones.
